Time and again, meaningful progress has been delayed or obstructed—not because solutions don't exist, but because politics appears to take priority over results. Ironically, many of these actions now serve the very system he once claimed had held Pottsville back for decades.

Leadership isn't measured by Facebook posts or political narratives. It's measured by understanding budgets, respecting process, addressing blight with real solutions, building partnerships, and delivering results for taxpayers.

Pottsville deserves elected officials who spend less time creating headlines and more time creating progress. Our residents need leaders focused on solving problems—not promoting themselves.

Public officials are entrusted with representing their communities professionally, ethically, and within the law. When an elected official repeatedly engages in conduct that creates unnecessary conflict, disregards established procedures, or undermines productive partnerships, taxpayers ultimately bear the risk.

The greatest concern is not political disagreement—it's the potential cost of poor judgment. Lawsuits against a municipality can consume public resources, distract from the work of governing, and leave residents paying the price through higher legal expenses and lost opportunities.

History shows that leadership style and decision-making have consequences. Pottsville deserves leaders who build trust, respect employees and volunteers, follow established processes, and focus on solving problems rather than creating them.

Scott's social media presence is unprofessional and obstructionist. Rather than working collaboratively to solve problems, it often focuses on attacking community partners, questioning the motives of others without evidence, and creating unnecessary division.

That approach doesn't move Pottsville forward. It discourages investment, weakens partnerships, and creates uncertainty for the very neighborhoods that deserve progress. Businesses, developers, nonprofits, and residents want leaders who can disagree respectfully while still working toward common goals.

Elected officials have a responsibility to represent everyone—not just those who already agree with them. Every public statement carries weight. Pottsville deserves leadership that builds bridges, attracts investment, strengthens neighborhoods, and puts the city's future ahead of personal agendas—not rhetoric that creates conflict and unnecessary risk.
